Legal Aid (Civil) Form updates – July 2016

Following the introduction of The Civil Legal Aid (Merits Criteria) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 which comes into force on 22nd July 2016, the Legal Aid Agency has amended as selection of their Civil legal aid forms.

The Legal Aid Agency have said that they will continue to process existing versions of the CIVAPP forms until transitional provisions end on 19th August 2016.

The amended forms are:-

  • CIVAPP1 – Application for Civil Legal Aid Certificate - Legal Representation Non-family Proceedings
  • CIVAPP3 - Application for legal aid in Family Proceedings Family Help (Higher) and Legal Representation in Family Proceedings
  • CIVAPP6 - Emergency Application
  • CIVAPP8 - Application for Amendment or Prior Authority in Civil Cases
